The Faculty of Law was established in 1999. It is considered the successor to the Department of Law, which was attached to the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Turning the Department of Law into an independent Faculty came because the law Topics are of a special nature that requires them to be within a separate Faculty. It also allows the student to deepen knowledge of specialized legal topics. The Faculty seriously seeks to graduate qualified students who are able to face the future efficiently. It also seeks to spread legal knowledge and enrich jurisprudential opinions by publishing articles and legal literature, expressing legal opinions and commenting on court rulings and legal legislation, and providing appropriate legal solutions to emerging legal issues. In the field of community service, the Faculty of Law contributes to giving legal lectures, participating in conferences and seminars, and providing the necessary consultations in various fields of law.
The Faculty of Law includes two Departments: the Department of Public Law and the Department of Private Law. It awards a Bachelor's degree in Law and a Master's degree in Private Law in two tracks: Civil Law and Commercial Law. It also awards a Master's degree in Public Law in two tracks: Criminal Law and Administrative Law. The Faculty includes thirty-four faculty members of various ranks and academic disciplines.
